I would like to introduce one bottle a day soon, so my DH can do one feeding. I'm looking for a book or a good website that goes over the dos and don'ts for pumping. Really the dos and don'ts for storage and feeding I guess. I get how to pump ![]()
My main question right now if anyone knows is this:
If I am pumping into one bottle, but plan on feeding the baby with another kind, which bottle do I put in the fridge with the milk? I will pump into the Medela bottles, but plan to feed (well, try to) with the Playtex Drop Ins. Should I store the milk in the Medela bottles in the fridge and then switch when I feed her? Or should I dump the milk right away into the drop ins and store that bottle in the fridge? Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks!
Re: Pumpers - Where do you get your information? Plus one other question.
I use the playtex drop ins too. Typically I leave all my pumped milk in the medela bottles that I pump directly into and then transfer to the drop in when I'm ready to use it. Then if I don't use all the milk I pour the rest into the lansinoh bags and freeze it.
I don't have any recommendations for pumping resources other than the bump boards and kellymom.com. And of course google :-)
