I don't know for sure but I would guess it means more like 6-9 months. DD just started wearing clothes labeled as 3 months and there's no way they're the same as 0-3. HTH!
If anyone can figure this out, I'd like to know! Usually (and I mean that very loosely) 6 months are bigger than 3-6, but not as big as 6-9.
Don't go by Gerber sizes. Those onesies run so small. Ben and Eli wear 3-6 in most everything else, but I can barely get them in 6-9 month Gerber onesies!
I just took the tags off and washed DDs 3-6 stuff and the hang tag said 3-6 and the inside tag would just say 6 months. (How did she get so big so fast!) Anyway - 6 months means 3-6 months. After that most brands (Gap, ON, Gymboree etc) jump to 6-12. Carters still has a 6-9 month size, but I hear rumors it may be going away.

I agree with this too. I mean, are they meant to wear '6month' stuff for one month haha
This is what I have found to be true for the most part. I do find them to be closer to the 3-6 size than the 6-9 stuff by far. We can usually switch to the "whole" sizes right from the beginning. I'm finding the bigger he gets it doesn't really show much of a difference as it did when he was smaller. The newborn vs. 0-3 vs. 3 months was a big difference.

This just makes it so hard to buy appropriate things!
