I'm thinking around 9 weeks after the first u/s. I think I might start to show shortly after and I'd rather tell them rather than have people talking about me and guessing at whether or not I am.
unfortunately for me, I work in the Cytology lab. The very place your (prenatal) pap smear is sent. If I can get out of having that pap smear done (as I already had one this year), I'll tell after Christmas. If I can't, I'll be forced to tell the day after my OB appointment on Dec. 11 because at least two people, but probably three, will have seen my pap. While I'm sure most of my co-workers would respect HIPPA policy, I can't be 100% positive that every one of them would.
People who I'm close with at work, I told pretty much right away. Some of management and the NCOIC found out when I was a few days shy of the second tri.

I do surgery once a week, so the anesthesia techs knew we were TTC so I could stay out of high risk exposure situations. But it's getting trickier & trickier to avoid risky situations, plus I want to start wearing a special mask to keep out more trace anesthesia...& that's a dead giveaway.
SO, even though I wanted to wait 'til after 1st tri, or at least the 1st Dr.'s appointment, it's looking more & more like I'm gonna have to spill the beans soon (at least a couple of coworkers have figured it out already). But we still haven't told our families (who both live out of town)...

I still haven't told! I've been pretty good at wearing things that cover up the small belly I do have, but I'm really not showing much at all. I wonder when that will change! My plan is to tell around 16 weeks, so just one more week or maybe a little longer.
I told my principal a few weeks ago because she asked me to host a practicum teacher that would be through May. I told a few others at work earlier on but pretty much told everyone else the end of last week. Word travels very fast... especially with teachers so now everyone knows. I will be telling the parents of my students in the next fews weeks I guess (before Thanksgiving.)
Re: Poll: When are you telling work?
Next week if the u/s on Sat. shows that all is well
I've already told my boss, but I'm going public to the employees next week.
