Do they have theatres near you that offer close captions? I grew up in Rochester, NY and theatres there sometimes did (probably because the National Technical Institute for the Deaf is there, I actually went to RIT, which the school is part of). It's a great city for the deaf community...all the concerts through the school had interpreters. I will never forget seeing KRS-1 and there being an old man that looked like Santa Claus furiously trying to keep up with his signing.
And I love The Wizard of Oz.
