I just bought L the FP Little People Village, circa 1973. I cannot wait to play with it. I loved that toy. Christmas will be fun for me - I hope he likes it too.
(My dad refuses to retrieve mine from his attic. If I ever get it, I'll sell it.)
**What toy from your childhood are you planning to / want to give to your child?
Re: Can't wait for Christmas now
I am going to get Alex a sit-n-spin. I loved mine when I was little! I would also like to get him a Big Wheel. Do they still sell those?
Off to look!
FYI - I've seen a Sit-n-spin coupon out there. Check out coupons.com and if you can't find it I'll mail you mine. We were going to get it for my cousins baby but we got her the Cussing Caterpillar instead (the Leap Frog Alphabet Pal).
DH can't wait to get out the wooden blocks and Legos to build things with our little girl. It was something he loved as a child.
For me, I think it will be cute to watch her play with baby dolls.
They sell Big Wheels but they're not the same quality as when we were kids. My sister bought one for my nephew last Christmas and ended up taking it back. The pedals fell off the first time he rode it
Great call--those are awesome!!
For the Sit-n-Spin, do NOT get the Simon Says interactive one. I cannot tell you how annoying the voice/music is on it. If that's the only one you can find, never put batteries in it. This is my advice to you, for your sanity!
