  we just recently got a Samsung dvdcam and we love it!! you can get a big package of the dvd's at BJ's or Sams for a reasonable price!

  We're looking into getting the Sony DCR-DVD650 DVD Handycam Camcorder, I've been looking at it for awhile and now it's on sale at Amazon so I think it is the time. A friend of ours has it also and they said it takes great video and is so easy to use.

  it may be more than you are looking for, but I have a sony HDR-SR1.
  if came out in 2007, but I LOVE it. you can take video in HD or standard. it takes amazing HD still shots. everything goes onto a hard drive, and you have the option to burn your videos/pictures straight from the camera to a dvd.
