Trying to Get Pregnant

RE 1st Appt Question

So we have our appt next wednesday which will most likely be CD3 for me. Do you think there is any way they would do bloodwork that day? And then schedule the HSG and everything? Or do you think they will make me wait till next cycle? I really want to get started and not waste another freaking month!

Re: RE 1st Appt Question

  • You might want to call. Some places do fasting CD3 bw so you might have to go 1st thing in the morning for the bw and then go later in the day for your appointment. I would ask them though and explain.

  • If it is, in fact, CD3, I think it's likely they'll do the b/w assuming you are at an office that does lab work (my RE has 2 offices, 1 for consultations and the other for appointments. lab work, u/s, etc.).

Mine was prepared to do b/w and u/s at my first appointment but I missed the opportunity by one day.

This.  Call and ask before hand.  It would suck to have to waste a cycle.  GL!

Has DH had an SA yet?  Or do you expect them to schedule that?  I'd suggest an SA before an HSG.  GL!

Yes I am already def getting an u/s on the 1st day and they do do bloodwork there. I am going to call Monday and see what they say.

    This exactly.

And even if you don't call, they will probably do the bw anyway, they did for me.

    Good luck at your appointment.

Yes, he had an SA and the results were not good which is why we made this appt.
