I have not gotten professional pictures done. I am very picky about who I would choose to have this done. If waterfairy lived here I would not mind paying her. I love her photography. Up here, I just cannot find anyone that meets my standards.
I only do it bc it was a gift but I never planned on doing it. I think I can take just as great of pics. Plus I have many photog friends and family members.
nope - i think i take pretty good pics myself. My aunt wants us to take all the little kids (my cousin, 2 nephews and lo) to get holiday pictures..but i'm a bit worried of all the germs that may be floating around...so I haven't decided yet.
We have not taken DS to a professional. We stopped going to professtionals when DD was 6 months because we got better pictures at home. We got a nice camera and a white sheet that hangs in the basement for picture day.
We haven't, we do our own though, and they usually turn out just as well as what a portrait studio could do.
We will take M for portraits soon, though, but only because we got a free coupon.
We wanted to hire a local amateur for outdoor pics, but now its getting too cold. . .I have been meaning to call her and see if she has any other suggestions, I don't think she has a studio and our house is too cramped to be worth it.
we have not. and probably will not for a while. we just dont have the money to spend on it. and every time we talk about it i tell dh i rather spend the money on cloths or diapers or toys for DS. I have THOUSANDS of pictures EVERYWHERE around the house of DS. Im sure when he gets older.. hed understand.
We haven't yet. I think I might have some done next week at Target for 6 months. Next spring I hope to hire a real photographer and have outdoor 1 year pics.
I haven't and I'm not. They're too expensive. I'm just gonna do my own in-home photo shoot for Christmas greeting cards...hopefully they'll turn out ok.
I haven't yet. I would have loved to get newborn pics, but they are so expensive. We're going to visit my husbands family over Christmas and my sister-in-law does prof. photography and she's going to take some of my LO for free. I love her! She's also going to do his 1 yr pics. Total blessing!
Re: Has anyone NOT had professional pics?
:::raises hand:::
But I fully intend to get Christmas pics done.

"You're gonna miss this You're gonna want this back You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast..."
This!
Ugh, I loathe most pro-pics!
I think studio pics are corny, but I would love to be able to afford an actual photographer.
that kinda where i'm at- esp the holiday ones...sorry... maybe we will just skip them and do 1yr professional outside for her first bday.... thanks!
