When did you order nursery furniture?

Sorry if this has been asked a million times.  I lurk here infrequently and didn't want to use the search function.  DH and I have been looking at furniture and I remember reading here that it took many people like 10 weeks for furniture to come in.  I like a collection at BRU but want to look at other places as well.  How long did it take your BRU furniture to come in?  Other places?

 BTW, I love.love.love looking at your nursery pics!

    I recommend ordering it sooner rather than later.  We didn't order ours until about 6 weeks ago and it won't be here for another 4-6 weeks.  While I know we don't really need it until the baby gets here, it would have been much nicer to have it here and have the nursery fully ready.

    When I was 20 weeks, after we found out what we were having. I wanted to get white if it was a girl and dark if it was a boy. We only had to wait 2 weeks to get our furniture though because it was in stock.

    I ordered mine at 20 weeks from a local baby furniture store. Good thing since it has taken them 13 weeks to deliver and I am being induced 4 weeks after it arrives. The sooner the better, the place were I ordered from holds orders until you are ready for them as well, no charge, so if it came in before we were ready for it, it wasn't a big deal.

    After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
    My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

    We got ours from JC Penney's and it only took about a week and a half to come in.  I think we ordered at about 33 weeks, but I think as soon as you find something you like go ahead and order it just for the peace of mind that it will be here in plenty of time.

    We ordered ours around 26 wks and were quoted 10-12 wks for delivery. We figured if it wasn't here when mybobble baby arrived that would be alright as he'd be sleeping in our room for a while.

    We ordered ours from a local baby furniture store. We were quoted 10-12 wks but got the call that it was in after 3 1/2 wks!

    We got lucky as our crib was in stock and we took it home the same day we bought it.  Our dresser/changer however had to be ordered.  They told us 6-12 weeks.  I am hoping it gets here in 8....  This was not at BRU, it was a locally owned/operated baby store.

    We bought our furniture last Saturday and we were told 8-12 weeks, but they'll hold it if we're not ready for it.

    We just ordered it this past Sunday. I was nearly 22 weeks.

    we're not ordering ours until the end of the month (been waiting to see if someone helps us out w/ it at our shower in 2 weeks).

    but ours isnt a special order or anything so im not worried about it :)

    We ordered ours at 28 weeks from JC Penney. They *said* allow 7-14 business days for it to arrive, which was perfect for us since we had about 2 weeks left of getting the nursery ready. Well, they must have super fast shipping because we got it all in in 3 days!! So, now our nursery furniture has been sitting in our dining room...LOL. Oh well- better early than late!

    I'm planning to order mine in Dec (around my 26wk mark) I'm going to get it from Walmart and the turn around time is 2 weeks so we will have enough time.

    We ordered ours at 14 weeks because we foung it on sale with reallllly cheap shipping.  Also, we didn't know how long it would take to get here!

    i just posted a big rave above re: our furniture.

    we ordered it on sunday and the crib arrived today (very unexpectedly!) and i am 15 weeks now.  the changer says 8-12 weeks on the website so i'm assuming that will arrive when i am 25ish weeks along.  we plan on starting the nursery early, though, so it would be great if we can have everything finished by 30 weeks (just in case - i have a good friend who was put on bedrest at 32 weeks and her nursery was finished already - she told me not to wait in case something similar happened to me.  i'm heeding her advice Smile )

    Our furniture is from JCPenney (the Tori collection). It took less than a week for the pieces that were available for ship-to-store. The changing tower had to be delivered to our house--I think it was about 2 weeks from the time we ordered it.
