Does anyone know if you can still get H1N1 even if you've had the vaccine? I was just wondering b/c I was around someone who had it yesterday but I got my vaccine about 2 weeks ago. TIA

I would think so. You can always still get the seasonal flu even though you got the vaccine so I don't see why its any different. Plus, it takes at least 2 weeks after getting the shot to be effective.
There have been conflicting reports as to how long after getting the vaccine that you are inoculated. I've heard everything from 2 weeks to 1 month. And vaccines are never 100% fullproof, so you still should be careful and wash your hands, not touch you face, eyes, nose, etc. with out washing first. You're probably fine though. I wouldn't worry.

It takes 2 weeks for the vaccine to fully protect you against the h1n1. So you should be okay. Me, on the other hand, I got mine last thursday... the guy who sits next to me at work has it and has returned to work. They have me on Tamiflu for 10 days (enough time for the vaccine to kick in since I started Tamiflu yesterday). So hopefully it has been at least 2 weeks for you!
