Babies: 9 - 12 Months

I'm going to judge baby names in this post

My sister went to storytime at her local library on Saturday.

A woman brought her four daughters, ranging in age from, oh, 8 or 9 to tiny infant baby.

The girls had the following names, in order of their age:
Abigail
Sarah
Rebecca
Tinkerbell Indifferent

When questioned if it was a nickname, the mother said it was not. She'd never intended to have four daughters and couldn't think of another name she liked as much as Tinkerbell. She thought it was light and pretty and feminine.

Quite frankly, I think I would judge less if she'd stuck with the Disney theme from the start (Jasmine, Ariel, etc.)

  • You know her grade school nickname is gonna be Stinkerbell.

  • You know, Disney has been doing a lot to revamp Tinkerbell's image.  I used to think she was such a b----, but after watching that Tinkerbell movie, she seems remarkably resourceful and hard-working.

That is interesting. E's daycare has a dog named Tinkerbell.

  • Wow...poor baby tinkerbell, lol.
  • I am trying to picture this name at the top of a resume.

Oh, wait, you don't need a resume to be a stripper.

  • That poor child

In the new movie though, she's still as witchy lol. She comes to terms with it at least.

  • I just cannot imagine what effed up pregnancy hormone can make you want to name your child Tinkerbell. "We couldn't think of anything we liked better?" Really? Nothing?
