Do you go out on work nights?

I feel like such an old lady!  I usually come home from work, exercise if I can talk myself into it, make and eat dinner, shower and change as quickly as I can into pajamas.  But tonight I am going to a food tasting (the restaurant my husband manages is making a cookbook so the chef is having a few people over to his place to taste test things) and I won't be home until after 10.  I feel like I can just barely remember a time when going out on a work night didn't take so much effort!

Re: Do you go out on work nights?

  • We hardly ever go out on weeknights. We have basketball season tickets so that is one thing we will do during the week. Every once in a while we meet someone for dinner but it is hard. With the dogs we can't leave them up that long so we have to come home first. However, I have friends that go out almost every night.

  • Hardly ever.  I feel way too old, and am usually in bed by 9 or 9:30.  Hell, I don't even stay out that late on weekends!

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

  • We hardly ever do anything on a week night. The only things we ever do on week nights is go to Auburn basketball or baseball games and I'll go to DH's games (softball).

I'm lucky to get out of the office by 7:00pm usually...My DH is at work for morning workouts by 5:00am and he usually doesn't get home until 9:00pm or later. We have no time to have a social life.

  • No not really- I like to get home from work, have dinner and watch TV- and relax in my pjs. DH likes to do the same. We do go out on Friday and Saturday nights. Just on Monday night friends invited us out for dinner and drinks and DH and both were like- no, maybe another night- when we have more notice. I was already home in my comfy sweatshirt when they called. I always feel like I cant go out on a school (work) night!

  • Only if there is a really good reason.  We deline most week night events.
  • I'm glad I'm not the only one :)

  • I go out when I can. Up until the last two weeks, I was home by myself in the evenings since DH worked 4pm-midnight. Now he is home all the time since he got laid off.

I have a book club, a local IF support group, and whatever other GTGs I have with the gals (including some from this board).

  • Every once in a while- maybe once a month or so I'll go out with a friend for dinner/shopping.    DH and I are usually pretty lazy.  I want to just go home, shower, eat, put on sweats, and watch TV.
  • Yes, I frequently go out to dinner with friends after work.  And then I have a REALLY long commute, so I might not get home until 11:30 pm.  DH and I went to the U2 concert last month and that was on a Wednesday night...didn't get home until about 1:30 am.  That was totally unusual of us though---but worth it!

  • We very rarely go out on weeknights. DH works nights anyways so the nights that he doesn't have to work, we like to spend those nights together.

  • We don't usually go out during the weeks. I usally have a routine of going to the gym after work, having dinner and watching tv. The week nights are usually my only nights with DH. He works long hours on the weekends. Sometimes we will go shopping or out to dinner but only when we don't want to cook.  We have def become old people..

You're definately not the only one!

  • We very rarely go out on weeknights either. DH works a couple nights a week so when we are home together we like to relax in our PJ's too! Although we HAVE been trying to get out more. Last week we met friends for a quick beer after work and the week before that we had a couple over for dinner during the week. It actually is nice to break up the week a little bit.

Usually though I go home, let my dogs out, go work out, shower, eat and relax on the couch! Those are my nights!
