s/o vaccines - poll: are YOU fully vaccinated?

Just curious - it's much more in vogue now to delay and refuse vaccines, but I'm just curious if anyone's parents did delay or refuse.  :)

Re: s/o vaccines - poll: are YOU fully vaccinated?

  • I'm beyond fully vaccinated, compliments of my hospital rotation.
  • Loading the player...
  • Been childhood vaccine immunized 4 freaking times thanks to many errors and lost paperwork.  I should be good for a couple more lives!
  • yes, fully vaccinated and up to date on all of my boosters.

  • Yep plus some like Anthrax & Smallpox thanks to the military!
  • Yes and no.  I was vaccinated as a child but like most adults some of my vaccinations are no longer working.  Most adults need to be tested (titers) and then boosters need to be given.   However I am no longer able to have any boosters so I get to go all natural...whether I wanted to or not.

  • I think I had everything I was supposed to when I was a kid...but I'm pretty sure the last shot I had was when I was 13 or 14???  Since then, nothing. I should probably get a tetnus shot, huh?
  • as far as i know i am - i know i got some boosters before starting college because it was required - and i know one of them was tetanus because i got this GIANT EFFING GOLF BALL of angry arm over the site of the injection that they weren't sure was allergic reaction or some sort of cellulitis but i'm not eager to have a repeat of that anyway..

they just did a titer on my as part of the gazillion vials of blood they took at my first prenatal.. i think for rubella immunity?  whatever it was they said i still had it so that's good i guess..  german measles - is that rubella?

I'm pretty sure I got all of my vaccines on schedule, but I haven't been able to get any boosters past the age of 5 due to an allergic reaction.  I did get a tetnus shot a few years ago when I tripped over a half-burried rusted barb wire fence.  Otherwise, I'm pretty sure most of my vaccinations are no good anymore.

So I'm not alone on this on this board.:)

  • I don't think I'm up to date on my tetanus.  How many years is that anyway?  Other than that, I'm good.

    10 years is the maximum.

And I would say that it is not necessarily in vogue to get delayed vaccine schedules, I just think the people that do delay vaccines or refuse just talk about it more than others.

That was just in comparison to back when I was growing up - just that it is seems to be more of a popular option now if compared with back in the 70's/80's.  I'm not saying it's a majority of the population now, by any means.
