Infection?

So I've never had any type of girlie/bladder/kidney/urinary infection but yesterday when I peed it kind of burned a little... my hubby and I did have sex the day before  (for the first time in 2 months! eek).  So I'm not sure if it's just irritation or infection.  I've started drinking cranberry juice and burning seems to come and go?!?! What's up?

    If it keeps burning today, I would go ahead and go to the doctor. I have had several UTI's and they are no fun. The longer you wait the worse they get.  just make sure to use the bathroom before and after sex from now one. I have found if I go right after, then in about 30 min again that really helps- and you will be less likely to get them. Sometimes you will feel a sort of pressure in your pelvic area too. And you will feel like you have to keep using the bathroom but not much comes out each time. Don't even bother buying the over the counter meds either, they never worked with me. hope this helps.

    If you feel more comfortable call your dr today. It could be that you are raw (sorry TMI) from sex or it could be you have an infection. I have heard that these types of infections are not good for baby, so you may want to be safe and call your dr. Usually they can do a urine test or blood test to see if there is an infection.

    I've had this a few times after sex, but a good shower helped.  If it continues, see your doctor!
