I have been searching for some nice work clothes (suit jackets specifically) and I can't find them ANYWHERE. Our Macy's doesn't even sell maternity stuff, Penny's only had slacks and a couple ugly sweaters, and don't get me started on the horrific selection at Sears.
We have no "specialty" maternity stores either like Pea in A Pod or Ann Taylor, so that's out. We do have a Motherhood Maternity, but they only had 2 blazers, one that will NEVER button around the ginormous belly I will have in a few months, and the other was too casual.
Is there someplace I'm overlooking? (Oh, Burlington and Target didn't have anything either in there 4x4 maternity section.) Grrrrrrr. ![]()
Re: HELP with professional maternity clothes!
What I was getting at is that the one from Motherhood looks fine NOW, so there is no way it will work when my belly IS even bigger. I'm more getting at the fact that I'm not even finding OPTIONS, I figured a couple maternity suit seperates wouldn't be hard to find. This has nothing to do with size, I can't even find any in a store in the first place!
Surprisingly enough, I've had good luck at Ross'. You have to be willing to search through the "junk" sometimes, and the selection isn't huge, but if you're willing to try it a couple of times, it's worth it! I would also suggest waiting to see how big you really get. You might not need "maternity" blazers for a while, but you could get away with a bigger size or different style (i.e. one high button).
*Just realized you've already got one LO, so I'm sure you know about sizes and such. Sorry!
