need opinions on blog

I'm applying for a position with our local paper that would include writing a blog about mommy-hood.  Since many of you read and/or keep blogs, I was hoping you could tell me what you look for in a blog.  Do you prefer funny, serious, sweet, how-to's . . . what do you like about some of your favorite blogs.   Thanks for any input, it will really help me decide where to go with my blog.

    All of the above?  That is what I try to make my blog anyway.  Wit and humor are definitely always good, but how-to's, sweetness and tid bits of wisdom always score high for me too.

    i love reading people who really know how to be themselves in their writing...when i read a blog, i like to feel like Im having a cup of coffee or convo with that person...at least thats how I write mine...i just started the one below a few months ago, but it's building...
