I definitely have not yet! I have been going crazy with the sweets and really need to start watching it. I know I need extra calories for BF, but I'm sure I can get them from better sources! I'd like to start walking more too, now that I'm starting to feel better overall.
Re: Have you started trying to lose the weight?
BFing should help you take off a lot. i didn't try to lose any weight, and lost it all in about 2 weeks. they tell you not to diet for 2-3 months while BFing or it will effect your supply. so just eat healthy, but don't cut back on calories. and you shouldn't be exercising this early either... just take care of your baby, and worry about exercising around 4-6 weeks or whenever your doctor clears you.
oh and a warning - i started walking at about 1 1/2 weeks pp, and it made the bleeding increase a TON. so maybe that was not the best idea on my part.
Heck yeah. Hubby & I joined a new gym about 3 wks ago. Last night I ran 3.5 mi. And while on Maternity leave, its been fun going together (we work diff shifts) and playing raquet ball etc. Love feeling more energetic.
nope. and I've been going crazy with the sweets too, thinking I should eat more healthy!
Last time I never tried to lose the weight and I ate whatever I wanted, yet still ended up about 10 lbs below my pp weight. Thank you BF!
I'm hoping that happens again this time. If not, I'll start watching what I eat and I'll start doing light exercises around 6 weeks when I get the ok from my OB. I know everyone and every pregnancy is different.

I did that too-that was a big no no. I didn't look at how far PP the OP was-just take it easy for now. Walking is ok, but don't over due it.
That's good to know, thanks! Really I just want to get outside more often, not necessarily power walking or anything. We live in the city and tend to just wander around a lot
I was about to eat another cookie... then I read this post
BF has not helped me, I weigh about the same I came home from the hospital, just to say everyone is different... so I lost 15 lbs in the hospital and have 30ish more to go... ?I just joined weight watchers with (Drs permission) to help guide myself to healthier choices, they have special consideration for BF moms.
The dr has not cleared me to do more than walking, hoping exercise will help get the weight off.?
My little guy is 2 1/2 months old so we're a little ahead of you but yes, I have started to try to lose the weight....I lost 21 of my 37 lbs the first week, and have lost another two since (wow, right??) I started running a few times a week at 8 weeks pp and I've been trying to run or bike (we luckily have a treadmill and bike in the basement) 3-4 times a week. I haven't lost weight yet but I can tell my face is getting thinner and I just feel better after I exercise. Plus, I'm trying not to eat like a pig anymore
We'll see how it goes!
For what it's worth- I know that everyone says that BF helps get rid of the weight but I EBF and it hasn't done anything for me
