28 out of 100 pregnant women die

of the swine flu. Really? A friend just told me this number ... sounds awfully high to me. Am I just out of the loop?

    No - that's not an accurate stat.  28 pregnant women total have died of H1N1 in the US, among about 100 that were admitted to ICUs.

    If 28 out 100 pregnant women were dying from swine flu, trust me, you'd know about it.

    No but pg. women make up 1% of the population and 6% of H1N1 deaths.

    It's certainly affecting pg. women disproportionately.

    This- but there have honestly so "few" deaths from this epidemic as compared to so many in the past that these numbers may be skewed- there's no way of knowing yet. ?But 28%?? Agree that if this was the case- you would know. Everyone would know!
