At approximately what (a range, even) dpo is it safe to assume a positive test is not a chemical pregnancy? I assume this is a major factor in waiting until X dpo to test. Or not?

I thought the reason for waiting to test until 12dpo (generally accepted as the day to test, though 14 is better) was that it's very unlikely to get a BFP before then, even if you are pregnant. I didnt think CPs had anything to do with it.

I believe that a CP is defined by a pg loss before being able to see products of conception on an u/s. You can see a gestational sac at about 5 weeks pg, aka 21 DPO.

If you can wait until 21 DPO you are a stronger woman than I am.

My doctor considers anything before 6 weeks a chemical pregnancy.

Nope. Still trying to figure out the timing of a possible unveiling should I get a positive. I'm cool with going public before an ultrasound - I think - but I wonder if there's a short time period to pass the chemical-pregnancy zone.

I guess I was confused on what a chemical pregnancy was?

ETA: Ignore the wonky overlay. I was playing with the free trial I got a bit ago, and it changed months on me. I had it set to spy on this cycle with my only two (possible) O cycles, but it only overlays one of those.
