OK so I am co-hosting a baby shower for my best friend this Sunday.. and af was due today(ish) possibly tomorrow.. WELL I have posted about having champage at the shower.. and knew I could sneak a straight OJ rather than a mimosa if I needed.. BUT I have decided not to have it at all.

This is why.. DH has voiced his opinion about not telling anyone when I get pg until after we see the HB, my ob is letting me do a ultra sound at 7 weeks. I could do at 6 weeks, but my plan is do go in for blood work if all is good I will wait til 7 weeks for U/S.. SOOO this means that my mom , aunt, BF can;t know if I am pg this weekend. SO no booze means I do not have to turn it down.

I know this is not real important to you guys but I have been debating this for a long time and finally made a decision so I feel good about it and wanted to let you know..

NOW just to get that bfp. (PS of course I would tell you ladies!)

    I think it's smart to wait to you test to have a drink so you won't have any regrets...I know some other people may beg to differ but I rather not take the risk either.  But I don't think I understand why that rules out having a champagne toast at the shower for everyone else...?  I get that you don't want it to be a topic of convo- but you can easily fake it so not everyone else has to sacrifice...yes?

    OHHHH I just read my post again and it is VERY confusing! .. I meant I was debating serving champagne at the shower. Mom-to-be said she didn't care either way as did the other co-host.. Sorry!

    Well, as a person that has attended entirely too many baby showers, alcohol is always appreciated among the guests. Just pour your own glass and toast with regular oj. easy peasy.

    Have a champagne toast. It is needed at baby showers so the guests don't want to shoot themselves (I am very anti baby shower right now)
