Advice needed!!!

So I have a huge formal event in December and there's a designer I've admired for years... I emailed her shop regarding a jacket and received a response fairly quickly. Her rep sent me designs and I selected one I liked. I also asked about the price. It's a pretty exorbitant amount.

Here's the question: Should I ask my DH for the jacket to be my birthday, Christmas and anniversary present? My birthday comes up Sunday and Christmas and our anniversary are in December. It's a beautiful jacket and I'm pretty sure it would be my favorite for all semi-formal and formal events...

Or do you think I should forget the jacket and just tell the woman thanks but no thanks?

I combine them all when I want something big, one year I got diamond earrings and another I got a ring with DS's birthstone. They were for Christmas, my birthday in Jan, and Valentines day

Yes, ask for it for all 3, but then he'll be feeling guilty in December when he doesn't have anything for you, so he'll get you more gifts then.

If you can justify the price, go for it. You might be able to negotiate with her too. Its worth a try.

If you really want it, you should buy it. Of course talk to your DH beforehand but he seems like a reasonable man and would be behind you doing something for yourself. [:)

*I know you wouldn't buy anything you couldn't afford, so i didn't give that a thought
