  I generally just do cereal in the bottle or purees.

  I mix it with the purees to make it thicker...I think they're too soupy otherwise.

  Yes, he gets cereal for breakfast along with a fruit. I also use it to thicken some purees.

  ETA: By cereal I mean, rice cereal, oatmeal, barley, mixed grain etc.

  I give a cereal (rice or oat) with a puree for breakfast and dinner.

  We mix oats in her yogurt.  We skipped rice cereal.

  Still every day.  She often won't eat a new food unless it's mixed in with the cereal.  I feed her oatmeal more often, though, since it isn't as constipating for her.
