FFTC - although you should probably flame me

My mom usually comes in the morning at 6:30 am. My husband usually doesn't leave for work until 6:45 am. I usually don't get up with Natalie in the morning because of this. This morning Natalie was crying and crying and crying and crying. She was getting extremely upset so I went in to see what was going on. She was just laying in her crib crying her little heart out. I grabbed her and realized that my mom hadn't got here yet and my husband had left for work early. I felt like a horrible mommy. My poor baby probably layed in her crib crying for 10 minutes because I wouldn't get up.

On a similar note, I don't understand how people can let their little babies CIO. I wanted to cry when I realized I was just letting her cry. Not only that but Natalie just got more and more worked up the longer she cried.

    Aw that's sad!  I don't get the CIO either, I can't leave my mom alone with DS because she always thinks he should just cry and it really bugs me.

    My DH puts her down and lets her cry sometimes when he gets stressed out.  I cant stand it.  I hope we dont have to cio.

    I can't stand letting LO CIO, but when I put him down at night he wakes up not long after I lay him down and I'd be up all night rocking him if I didn't let him CIO.  It doesn't matter if he was sound asleep on me, he still wakes up.   We let him CIO for a little and he usually falls back to sleep on his own.  If it goes longer than I'm comfortable with, I go and rock him back to sleep.
