Without even trying? We follow all 8 of the principles even though that was never our plan. I honestly believe it's why Molly is such a good baby.

yeah I read the eight principles and I follow them. I know a lot of AP parents co-sleep...which I don't do though.

Yeah, we pretty much became AP parents without realising or trying. The only thing we don't do is EBF'ing. I had a lot of issues with BF'ing, and I gave up too quickly. If I could go back, I would change things.

That's because AP is pretty much "natural" if that makes sense. Most people follow at least some of AP without even realizing it.

We kind of do. We follow baby's schedule. He eats on demand, sleeps when he's tired, etc. I am exclusively breastfeeding (although we'll be starting to feed expressed milk in a bottle as well). Yes, we follow most of the principles. I found myself doing most of them unconsciously before I knew what AP was, and now that I know what it is it's more of a conscious decision. (I'm wearing DS in the moby right now!)

- shouldnt all parents be doing those? It doesnt seem like its very specific/different parenting style. I thought it would be more specific about co sleeping and baby wearing ect. I think all parents should be doing those things? Are those the same principles your talking about?

Since our babies are newborns, it is assumed that just about everyone will follow the majority of the AP principles. But I believe true AP extends into the toddler years and beyond.
