Got here around 530, in a room around 600.
Had my weekly OB appt yesterday. Felt pretty good until they started the NST and I started contracting every 2-3 minutes. OB sent me right over, we were hoping I'd get a shot of Terb and be sent home a few hours later. Dr. ShortFingers (not my OB) checked me and found that I was 2cm, 50%, -2. Started bawling. They started me on magnesium (I'm dealing with it pretty well, just making me dopey and super thirsty), I've gotten 1 dose of the steroids for their lungs, I'll get another steroid shot tonight, and should be able to come off of the mag sometime late tomorrow. No idea if I'll get out tomorrow or Thursday, but I can't wait to get home. Luckily my contrax are really slowing (20 or so minutes apart). I'll be on bedrest and Procardia until 36w, only 3w2d to go.

Re: In L&D for PTL
NST -Non Stress Test (way to check contractions and movement in a non-stressful way for the babies).
I definitely don't think the NST caused the contrax, that God was completely in charge. I know that if they'd started while I was at home I probably wouldn't have called my OB or the hospital because I'm so used to frequent and strong BH's. I really feel that if this would've happened at home, I would've gotten to the point of no return (if I get to 4cm my OB won't try to keep the babies in any longer). I've thanked God so many times last night that he put me in the NST when he did. I had a BPP just a few minutes before and didn't have any real contractions then.

At 32 weeks I had PTL and found out I was paper thin and 4 cm. They put me on a serious dose of mag for 48 hours. Long enough to get the steroid shots. When they took me off mag they expected the contractions to start back up but I sat in the hospital having irregular contractions until 34 weeks 6 days when I had them via c section for high bp and breech presentation. They were both completely healthy. It is really scary but just know that there is a lot they can do to keep you and the babies healthy. Hope you keep them in a few more weeks.

You are in my T&P. Even though we haven't met IRL, let me know if I can help in any way. I am in the area (I think we have talked about that before) and whatever I can do, I will try to do for you! Just let me know!
Hang in there.
My outlook was more grim at 26 weeks, and I made it (on hospital bedrest) to 35w2d! Take it easy.
I'm at St. Clare. I'm getting off the mag tonight at 9:00 and should be able to leave tomorrow afternoon (they want to watch me on Procardia before sending me off). My IL's have been watching DS 5 days per week (M-F) in the mornings and some afternoons (now that'll be from the time DH leaves for work until he gets home). I think we're going to hire a cleaning lady for these last few weeks, I'm not a neat freak by any means, but there are things that I can't just leave undone (and one of us has to watch DS while the other cleans, so that won't work).
I'm ALL for the cleaning lady! DH hired one when I went on BR and we STILL have her...I'm willing to give up A LOT to keep her. I told him that if we were keeping DirecTV, then I was keeping the cleaning lady...she's cheaper anyways!
Keep us posted, you're going to have some serious internet time coming up!
