Acne Free Face Wash

in 1st Trimester
I use Acne Free face wash every day. (Knock off of Proactive). It has Benzoyl Peroxide in it. Is that bad for the baby??

    My dr said Proactiv (& benzoyl peroxide in general) is okay so I've resumed using it.  This question has been asked before though & some people on here are adamently against it.

    Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.

    Expecting someone new 4/17/17.

    My doctor said any acne treatment is absorbed into the bloodstream and not to use it.

    Are they against it because of the internet or because their docs said to be?  Most doctors agree that over the counter face wash is fine.  The amount of the active ingredient is so small and its only going on your face.

    My doc said this is totally fine, as does all my pregnancy books. I even took the Proactiv in to him, just so he could read all the ingredients and be totally sure! ;)
