I go to an Allina OB/GYN in Blaine/Fridley....and the Fridley location had the shot yesterday! I have been calling EVERY morning and finally, yesterday my wish came true! Make sure when you are calling around that you say you are pregnant...I don't think the phone answerer would have said yes unless I used the magic phrase, "I am 15 wks pregnant". Good Luck!
Re: I got my H1N1 shot yesterday
My clinic got them in but only got 100 units so they're giving them to 3rd trimester patients. So none for me yet.
Is it the thimerosol free shot? Thanks for posting this.

I got mine Tuesday at the Fairview Riverside Women's Clinic in Minneapolis - it was the single dose shot, too. What a relief! People at my office are starting to go down with H1N1, not to mention my brother-in-law and his whole family (3 school-age kids), and with all the news, it's so easy to get so nervous!
About 3 weeks ago I got a thimerosal-free seasonal flu shot from my county (Anoka) using jrose0126's magic phrase "I'm pregnant!" My prenatal clinic had actually run out of the shot. If you're looking for either seasonal or H1N1 and can't find any, call the Health Department of your county to find out about flu shot clinics they're hosting, or they can point you to other resources in your area - and they've actually heard of where you can get the mercury-free shots. My experience was that they are very concerned about helping pregnant women get protected!
I hear you about being uncertain! I compiled a few informational links in one of my blog posts. Check it out if you're interested: Getting the Flu Shot
I believe it's each woman's decision and she'll make the best one for her own situation. After doing some research, though, I feel that the benefits really outweigh the risks (things like better birth weight for baby, protection for baby after birth even up to a year later, decreased chance of hospitalization for mother and little one). Good luck, and stay healthy!
