I don't know, I think it's pretty neutral. My niece had a pretty pale green nursery with a lamb theme. My nephew is now in the same room, and it fits him too. I think depending on the shade, green could go either way.
It's a tricky one. I prefer green on boys if we're talking clothes. But I think decor can be green for a girl as long as it has a few feminine touches. Like green walls with pink bedding, for example.
But then again, I fully intend to dress my little girl (if I have one) in blue (probably turquoise) because it's my fave and I tend to think it's more about the pattern and fabric than the color. Blue background with yellow daisies on it for example would be fine for a girl IMO.

I feel similarly to Meepit.

Depends on the shade of green... Really pastel green seems more girlie to me and darker green seems boyish... Limey could go either way for me
this
Beautiful Miracle Baby lost at 21 weeks due to pre-term labor and incompetent cervix. FET#1 BFN, FET#2 BFP, early loss. FET#3 BFN. IVF#2 BFFN. FET #4 BFP after removing bilateral hydrosalpinx and 3 months of lupron depot. Sticky Bun is here!!
<hoping the green walls in my nursery aren't too boyish...>
That wasn't what I meant.
I was coming from the angle that people that don't find out the sex register for a lot of green stuff b/c they always say it is "gender neutral" and I just don't agree.
Yeah, I hear ya. Not a fan. Also not a fan of bright yellow ducks on things. Mostly because it puts me in a position of having to guess what gender a baby is when it's wearing it.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
It really does depend.. In decorating, it depends on the details for me. I think a light green is a nice color that can grow well with either gender...
I found some absolutely fantastic girly bedding the other day that was BLUE. So awesome.
For clothes, I'm just not really into girls in pink, boys in blue. I'd rather have girly or boyish clothing regardless of color.
I think it is boyish, except light green, which can be girlish.
I don't know if we will find out what we are having when we are pregnant and I am planning a green and brown nursery, which I think really can go for a girl or a boy.

I'm late on this, but I really like sage green and brown together, so that's what we're planning and we don't know genders until Wednesday. It's mostly sage green with monkeys on it so to me it's very neutral. (Mod Pod Pop Monkey at Babies R Us)
I'm also not really a girls in pink, boys in blue person either. I just like cute clothes, regardless of if they're pink or blue.
Re: Am I the only one that doesn't think green is gender neutral?
TI, IUIs, IVF = c/ps and BFNs

I agree but I think yellow is girly..isn't that weird..
I agre with Kimarino..I mean if someone calls my daughter a boy early on..I might burst into tears.
That is why, if I ever have a daughter, she will have a HUGE bow on her head at all times.
me too!
