i'm bored......
i don't think i've mention on our local board but i've been on bed rest for over 15 weeks now. I sneak out for special things like taking the kids to the balloon feista, or the pumkins patch but even then i spend most of the time sitting. So anyway i'm so freaking bored. thanks goodness i have a tivo and a laptop. My DD who is 10 months loves it i'm sure but the other day i had to go to the Dr. and due to h1n1 no kids allowed and i had to leave her with a sitter OMG she cried and cried. She's going to hate it when i go back to work after the baby is born. My house is the biggest mess but everytime i spend more than a couple hours up and about i start to cramp and bleed so here i sit bored in my mess, bumping. I wish more new mexican ladies would drink the preganacy water and liven up our bored a bit.

Oh my - I didn't realize you were on bedrest. Are you expected to be on it for the rest of your pregnancy? That must be frustrating!
This board is pretty dead as is the NM one on the nest. I spend more time on the 12-24 board than anywhere, but I'm hoping to go back to the tri boards soon here too.
I see both a peri and a midwife it's weird i know i see the midwife every 2 weeks and the peri once a month apparently it's how they keep costs low for those of us who are on the low end of high risk. I had a sub chronic hematoma and while normally they go away and cause no problem i was the lucky 10% and mine got huge.
before getting pregnant I was in a very very bad car accident and on Bc pills. after some time in the hospital i got home and was happy to be alive. so one night we tried to have some sexy time and that was all it took.
i was in such pain that we wanted to wait before attempting that again but it only takes once. a couple weeks later (8) i found out i was pregnant and i had been taking all these pain pills and bc pills the whole time. (i was given something that countered my bc while in the hospital. oops who knew.) So i found out i was 8 weeks pregnant and i have had tons of bleeding all the time my blood clot got bigger but it has since gotten lots smaller, now it has torn a small part of my placenta away, and i have previa, and am still bleeding.
So i've been on bed rest almost the whole time now i have something called placental lakes which can also be ok as long as they are small but mind aren't. So no end in sight for now. However the baby looks good i'm just a series of unfortunate events. Since my placenta has had a lot of "trauma" my docs thing rest is best.
So even though i have two LO's (4 and 10 months) we get very bored
Wow, that sounds hard! It sounds like you are dealing with it pretty well though.
How long will you stay home before going back to work? Had you gone back after maternity leave with DD before getting put on bedrest for this pregnancy?
I know quite a few pregnant people, they just haven't found the right place to hang out!
My first two pregnancies were really great, bad heart burn, but good. The worst was with my 2nd DD i was really badly anemic and had sciatica pain so bad it was hard to walk. I worked till two days before i had her and that's because it was my normal days off and then went back to work 4 days later. With my first DD i went to a full 42 weeks and then it took 3 days for them to get my induction right i had to beg to not have a c-section. It was all pretty normal stuff.
This time it's been one issue after another. Thankfully my job allows one year of unpaid personal leave once your been there a year so at least i'll have my job when i go back cause this is more than the standard 12 weeks FMLA allows.
My girls love having me home but it's hard when we can't really go do anything. My mom comes over twice a week and cleans while i help her with her homework ( i convinced her it was never to late to go back to school) so that's handy. But my house is a handful my SO has 2 girls from his ex-wife who spend every other weekend with us so come monday it looks like a tornado has hit.
the car accident really changed things i don't think i ever would have chosen to have 2 under 2 as it's alot of work and being a stay at home mom is not an option and i was in college till just recently and am not done. While i'm a pro-choice women, it would never be my choice. So even though we just had a baby and we each had children from other relationships were happy to be having another one even if he was a huge shock. the more the merrier.
