I read your post where you said your DS hasn't been in a crib since 10 months. 

Jack cosleeps, but I want to transfer him.  He hate hate HATES his crib, and gets hysterical even if I try to play w/ him in/near it.  

So, I am thinking about going ahead and putting him in a bed (he can climb off an on beds w/o problem). 

 Anyway, do you have any advice?  I don't really know what I'm worried about, 13 months just seems young to be on his own under his own power.  Thanks!

    I wish I did, But Hayden will only sleep on the couch or with us :(  With our oldest we put a gate at his door and had bed rails up. He did ok in the bed, but would much rather sleep with us.
    But Hayden HATED his crib, he would just scream, so that's why he went out of it. We then put his crib mattress on the floor and he slept on that until we moved in May. That's when the couch sleeping started.
