So, i was just out with a friend and she asked me again when im due, i told her nov 20, but that id love to see my baby any day now! She then replied "well, its like 99% unlikely that you will have your baby in the 37th week, usually its your due date or beyond" Keep in mind she has never been pregnant, so where she is getting her info i have no idea but im not sure why so many people think its so impossible to have a baby as early as i am lol... when i say to people im getting excited they say "well you have a few more weeks to go for sure" lol it drives me insane! Yes, i could have weeks to go, BUT no one knows that lol i have the same chance of going into labor today! PLUS my baby is a week and a half ahead size wise. lol i think some just like to hear their own voices! Why do some try to discourage pregnant women when towards teh end we finally are so close to the end and our prize of our baby!

OMG i totally understand how you're feeling. I'm due on the 21st and i get in a fight with my mom a few times a week because she is always so discouraging about me going early. It pisses me off so bad! It could happen, and why can't people just agree with us....we've been pregnant long enough, we deserve a little hope!!!!!

An old friend from high school a few weeks ago asked me how far I was. At the time, I had said 29 weeks. She then said, "Good thing you're on bedrest, because your baby would never survive at 29 weeks." I could've smacked her. I haven't answered her calls since.

You could go anytime. So far, I have only come up with two women in my family who went late. So just remind yourself that some people SAY it is typical, for a first pregnancy to go late, but apparently those aren't the only option for everyone. As long as baby is fully developed, I hope you do go early (if there will be no complications).

lol im glad everyone gets equally annoyed, i feel like im a *** sometimes when i get mad at this stuff, but at the end of pregnancy i feel like we can be happy again and look foward to something, cuz we wait for so long and now we can hope they come and stop worrying that they will come too early!

This may have been annoying to you but she's probably right. First babies are typically late. Believe me, I know what it's like to be thinking "any day now" only to be disappointed. If it happens early for you, great! But there's a very good chance it won't so it's good to mentally prepare yourself for that fact too.

my SIL had both her babies at 37 weeks, and my other SIL was a week early, and my mom was 2 weeks early with myself and my brother!

my SIL had both her babies at 37 weeks, and my other SIL was a week early, and my mom was 2 weeks early with myself and my brother!

lol thats not what im saying, im saying every woman I know gave birth to their first early, never late... soooooo I dont agree that theres more of a chance to go late because ive never seen it happen with anyone i know, except for people online obviously but thats a bigger population so its expected to see more in numbers!
