Maybe for a middle name. For a first name, it's just a little too obvious of a reference. I mean, classic work, but I really think literary names are best used when they have a bit more versatility, and the reference isn't too overpowering.
My H loved that their kid was named Huck though, but he didn't love Huckleberry. He asked if I would consider Hudson nn Huck... maybe that's on option for you? Or what about Tucker nn Tuck?

I think you're trying too hard.
DH and I both kind of like Huckleberry, but honestly I'd never be able to give my child, a real person, this name. Huck might work, though.
