"Cousin to Be"

So, my SO and I just found out last Friday that we are expecting which was a complete shock but a blessing all in one.  We weren't trying to conveiving but not preventing it.  On Saturday I told my brothers and sisters and their girlfriends/husbands and they were also shocked but soo excited.  My older sister has  thirteen month old so she's excited.  I wasn't sure how my parents were going to react since I am 22years old and jst finished school.  However, I'm not your average 22 year old.  I'm a preschool teacher for a preschool at my church and have worked with children since I was fourteen...Anyhow, we told my parents last night after an amazing Dolphins win, after an amazing dinner at home, and while watching the Yankees win, I put a onesie on my neice Savannah that I made with rhinestones that says "Cousin To Be".  I gave my neice to my mother and she goes, "Oh this is a new onesie, what does it day?"  Then she read it out loud and everyone looked at me.  Needless to say, they were more then shocked but are now excited!  They know that this is a blessing and God's plan. I am going to call the doctor's after I get off and am so excited.  Just wanted to say Hi to everyone and that this is my first post and first time here.

    I wanted to try to lighten the mood and make it be a happier time instead of just being shocked.  I knew if we told me parents that there was something I needed to tell them that they wouldn't of liked that, they're just that kind of people. And my neice is absolutely adorable with her big blue eyes and they couldn't help but smile :)

    What a great way to tell! My sister has a baby and I am always afraid that if I say to my parents "you're going to have another grandchild" they will assume she is pregnant instead of me. Congrats and H&H 9 months!

    Hey I think I just read a post from your sister yesterday or the day before about how her little sister was pregnant and remember the "cousin to be" idea.  Can't for the life of me remember her screen name and exactly what board it was on though... lol

    Glad it turned out great though!  And congrats!

    Thank you!  And that was defniitly my sister!  She lives by the bump!  When she was preggo she was on constantly!!  Now I'm hooked!
