Asking for induction

I know I've already posted that I have high bp.  My doctor said they probably won't let me go over a week past my due date because of high bp, but last night my bp kept skyrocketing for little reasons.  (First time I walked down the stairs, second time I took a shower)  I know I'm on bedrest but I need to move around a LITTLE at some point throughout the day without worrying about hurting the baby.  Anyway my OB doesn't like to interfere unless they really need to, but this is making me a little crazy.  Would it be crazy to actually ASK to be induced at tomorrow's appt?  Either way I think I'd rather just be induced at this point because I am worried but what are the pros/cons?  I'm past my EDD now so the baby being ready isn't an issue.

    i dont think its crazy at all to ask, i would for sure!! ask if your cervix is favorable for induction, theyll know if youve been doing internals. if its not favorable, you could be risking a higher chance of ending up with a c-section. but since youre already past your due date, i would think they would rather get your LO out sooner with your high BP!

    I don't have hb but I will tell you this...if I am over 40 weeks I am asking for an induction!  I hope to have my LO with by the end of December.  She is due Christmas Eve.

    My BP has been averaging just above 140/90, but when it skyrockets it can get as high as 160/110!  The doctor knows about this, and I'm monitoring it and on br but it still really makes me nervous! 

       Thanks for the tips Whit and awesome on the golden named Abby!  We are pretty crazy about our pup!

    40w is eviction time. (well, I'd be fine with eviction time right now, but I know that's not the norm of this board).?
