Do you like the name Marlie for a girl?  (Also spelled Marly, Marli, Marlee) 

If so, do you have any middle name ideas? Our last name sounds similar to Sheaffer

    Upon hearing it I would assume it was Marley and the parents had some sort of Rasta-wannabe thing going.

    I've only known of girls name Marley (spelled like that) and they've all been cute, so it made me like it. (Ok, well I saw a 5-year-old on TV and I do know a 1-year-old in real life.) I think it's common enough for a girl that people won't think of the dog too much. :)

    I like Marlee or Marley.  I knew a girl growing up names Marley.  People will get over the Bob Marley/Marley the dog thing.

    I love Marlie but I prefer it spelled Marley.  As far as middle names do you have any family names you like? Or what is your middle name? Or either of your moms names?

    I think it is a great name, I knew a little girl with the name and it has grown on me. I would maybe pick a really feminine classic name for the middle name.

    Thanks for all the input, everyone!!  I'll read all of your posts to DH and it'll help us decide.

    I also like the idea of a class girl's name for the mn like Grace.

    I LOVE Marley for a girl.  We would totally use this if it wasn't our kitty's name.  Oh well.

    I like Marley Kate or Marley Faith. 

    DD1 born 5/24/10.

    Missed M/C at 14 wks Feb 2012.

    DD2 born 5/14/13.

    Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.

    Expecting someone new 4/17/17.
