Any suggestions? DD has gotten addicted to listening to Old MacDonald and such in the car. However, the CD we have is going to kill me soon. Its little kids singing everything and I am going to have to find something. Isn't there a good album with normal adults singing those songs. I'm not talking Raffi. I'm thinking more along the lines of Dave Matthews. Anything?
Re: Kids music that won't make you kill yourself...
The For the Kids CD is great - all the songs are sung by various artists (Tom Waits,Bearnaked Ladies, Cake, Five for Fighting, Darus Rucker etc)
I love John Lithgow's "Singing in the Bathtub" CD (yes, THAT John Lithgow!). There is a Yo Gabba Gabba CD that is actually really cool. The Laurie Berkner Band is good, too. Oh, and we have a Bob Marley CD for kids.
Of course, my kids also love ABBA, Elton John, The Garden State Soundtrack, The Beetles, Michael Buble', Radiohead....
Maddie loves the Curious George soundtrack. If we aren't listening to that, we listen to Dave Matthews, Matt Wertz, Ben Harper, Gavin DeGraw, anything acoustic really. Maddie loves it all, just like me!
