Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Baby Gap sizing ??

I am looking at a winter coat on the website for Carson. She is 9 months old, and is wearing some 9 some 12 month clothes, and the rare 18 month shirt. The coat runs 6-12 and 12-18. I am thinking 12-18 but wonder if they run huge and if i should be thinking 6-12. Any experience?

Re: Baby Gap sizing ??

  • IMO, they seem to run big. DD is in a lot of 12-18 month clothes, but can still fit in some 6-12 baby gap.
Mom to 2 beautiful girls, 3 yrs and 22 months old. My 2nd was born at 32 weeks due to Rhogam failure/severe complications from Rh disease and is our miracle. She has bilateral auditory neuropathy and a cochlear implant, activated 4/5/2012 at 19 months. Lilypie First Birthday tickers

  • I bought a fall coat for dd from Gap that is 12-18, she has room in it but it's by no means drowning her. Plus you'll be putting it over other clothing so bigger is usually better in that case.
  • I agree.  My son can weat 18 mo shirts too and is stillwearing 6-12 in baby gap with more room to grow :)
  • We went based off of their sizing chart for DS's clothes and it worked out perfectly.

    6-12:  27-29 inches and 17-22 lbs.

    12-18:  29-31 inches and 22-27 lbs.

We had to buy 12-18 month size and DS is 28 inches and 22 lbs.  It's slightly big, but 6-12 would have barely fit.
