Congrats on the BFP. I have a question for you -
I was also taking prover and waiting for AF. She didnt come so I took a pregnancy test - BFP. According to my beta levels, I must have conceived while taking the provera. Did you conceive while taking the provera? Did your doctor say anything about that?
Thanks, and Congrats again!!
Re: mrs.cam
Wow, crazy! Yeah, I had a dating ultrasound and according to that I ovulated a few days into the pills. Which I didn't know was possible....it's good to hear someone else had a similar experience! My RE wasn't concerned about the provera at all.
So Congratulations!! When is your first u/s?
I am thinking I ovulated right when I started the pills too! I was freaking out ALL weekend. I just got my BFP on Thursday and then Friday morning. My doctor is out of town (ofcourse). I called the office again this morning to tell them that my bloodwork confirmed I am pregnant and based on my beta levels I really think I conceived while taking provera. I told them I was very nervous and scared from what I read online (dont google it) The nurse calmed my nerves and said not to worry. Apparently my doctor will be in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday but they cant fit me in. The nurse will talk to him and call me tomorrow (hopefully to tell me not to worry) I dont have an appointment until Oct 26. I am not sure how far along I am - or when I will get an u/s. My last period was technically August 18th - hence the provera. Based on my beta levels the nurse said I am between 4 and 5 weeks.
Who is your RE? and your OB/GYN? I have been saying I should switch my OB/GYN but havent. Now I feel like I shouldnt.
Well congrats again! I am glad to know I am not a freak of nature getting KU on provera. Keep me updated. I would love to know how things go for you.
Hi Alex, as you can see by my siggy I unfortunately lost the baby. DH and I are doing pretty well though and we'll try again soon and pray for a better outcome.
I hope you are doing well though! It looks like you got through your first appointment just fine, did you get to see the heartbeat?
My RE is Dr Eva Littman, as for my OB... I was with Sophy Feng but I think I'm going to switch to Lisa Roberts. I've heard really good things about her and I've had some issues with Feng's office.
Hope you and baby are well!
I am so sorry to hear that! You and your DH will be in our thoughts and prayers for a sticky baby! I have faith it will come soon and you will be an awesome mother. I know it sounds strange to say that (since I dont know you) but I can tell by your posts.
We had our first appointment. The doctor said not to worry about the provera. In fact, he prescribes women who are low in progesterone, a similiar supplement. Except - he prescribes one with a higher dosage. So I am thinking its okay. We heard the hearbeat but still very nervous. We haven't even told our parents yet for fear of something going wrong.
My OB is Dr. Brill. I have been pretty impressed with him so far. Well, a little disappointed that he was on vacation when I got me BFP - but really...haha.
Good luck to you! Keep us posted. And agian, you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
