My head is spinning

I've been reading Baby Bargains all day and determining which items to register for. I'll have my mind pretty much set on something and then go on Amazon to read reviews, and the negative reviews start to make me question my choices, even if the overwhelming majority of reviews are positive. How much research are you doing on baby gear, etc.? Are you taking reviews into consideration?

    I ignore the negative reviews if its one or two random ones. Its possible to have a random bad defect or a cranky parent make a review.

     

    I also realized that every freaking high chair has a few bad reviews that talk about how hard it is to clean. So, I ignore those comments (unless its the majority of them) for high chairs.

    I went to BRU and played with everything.  I take reviews with a grain of salt.  For every one bad one you see there are 120 good ones that were never posted.

    Yes and no.... someone people put bad reviews for ridiculous reasons. Every brand will have duds; somethings might slip through the cracks, but that doesn't mean that the product in general is terrible. I stay away if the bad reviews out number the good.

    I almost bought Baby Bargains today, but I put it down for almost this exact reason - I didn't want to "over think" everything. I've been more less asking all the Moms I know (and trust!) for their opinions instead.

    It really depends on the content of the negative review.  Practically every item out there has at least one negative review.  I'm trying very hard not to overthink things.

    Besides Baby Bargains, I'm bring two friends (one with three kids and the other with one) to help me pick some stuff.
