So my LO dropped early (he's at a -3 now) and is in a breech position (and measuring a week ahead). Ever since he dropped, I've been really uncomfortable with achy hips and lower back and lots of BH contractions (seems like almost all afternoon every day, letting up in frequency in the evening/overnight/morning if I'm not moving around too much). It's to the point where my ab muscles feel sore from the BHs, I think. They're generally not regular, or at least not regular for long enough for me to call the OB. However, I hardly had any before he dropped. I'm also exhausted constantly and the nausea has come back.
So, does this sound normal given his new, lower position and slightly larger size? I was just at the doctor last Monday and Tuesday and tried to explain all of this. My dr. didn't seem concerned, so I feel like I shouldn't be either (and his movement has been normal). But it's just such a departure from the way I felt a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure I can deal with this for another 10-11 weeks. Thanks for your input.
Re: Near Term Ladies -- Does this sound normal (for pg)?
all of that has been happening to me every since my LO dropped. hang in there!
Yes, sounds about right to me. Make sure you're drinking tons of water. It will help with the BH.
If you ever feel uneasy or something is not right, you should still call your Dr.
Whoa! Your baby dropped at 29 weeks?
Is that concerning (I honestly have no idea) re: pre-term labor?
I thought so, but they tell me that the two (when you drop and when you go into labor) are unrelated. My cervix hasn't changed and they did that ffen test (something like that), which was negative. Just to be safe, my OB said to take it easy and stay off my feet as much as possible (but no need for bed rest yet) so that I don't encourage him to drop lower. Because he's breech, they're less concerned. Apparently if they're head down and have dropped, they tend to stay down. But if they drop in a breech position, they can easily come back up to turn around. (This is all what they've told me . . .)
