Me:  Your basket is getting pretty full!

TOTer: That's b/c someone left their basket out and we took almost  all of it.

 

HA HA... too little and cute to know how bratty that sounded

    LOL!  My mom told me she left her candy bowl out with a sign that said "take one", but she also put a full length mirror outside with it too.  She read an article that showed if someone can see themselves they won't take extra.  Interesting.  And soooo like my mom to read such an article and actually try it, lol!!

    Did your mom rig a camera to test the theory? THat's interesting. I would have totally mom'ed those kids and told them it was wrong to take all the candy. If they're too little to know better, where were their parents?

    I was surprised not to see their parents too...but I didn't look around the corner (you have to go around a little corner to get to my front door and they could have been out on the front walk)

    I had one TOTer tonight that I plopped 3 candybars into her bag, and then she held out a second bag. ummm, why do you need 2 bags? but I wasn't about to fight with a 9 year old, so just plopped more candy into the 2nd bag.
    m/c#1 07/16/08 (11 weeks), m/c#2 10/10/08 (8 weeks). and then nothing since except every test possible (no answers). IUI#1 and #2: BFNs Super lucky to be buddies with Peetie. Our out of nowhere, surprise DD born 5/29/2011

    No, no camera.  I think she was just proud of herself for trying it, she doesn't really care about testing it.  She's funny.

    My parents wouldn't let me out of their sight when I went TOTing as a kid.  It drove me nuts as I got older but now I understand why...and I'm gonna do the same thing with my kids!  Oh, and we weren't allowed to TOT after 12 years old.  They thought it was for little kids, not teens.  I tend to agree.  Kids have SO much fun doing it, but teens are just greedy.
