Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Just got back from f/up appt. and got results back

My blood results came back with Beta 2 Glycoprotein Antibodies and MTHFR. She retested me for the Beta 2 Glycoprotein Antibodies while I'm not pregnant to make sure.

Baby chromosomes came back as having Down Syndrome.  That is what she said was the cause of my loss and didn't think it was the bleeding disorder.  I'm sure none of it helped!!!

Ugggh, I'm glad to get some answers, but I'm so tired of hearing bad information regarding my pregnancy.  Here is my history...at 11 weeks found out I have an abnormal uterus shape (high risk for preterm labor, small for gestational age, and breech baby), also have 3 fibroids, and at 18.5 weeks found out our baby died.  Now I find out I have 2 different disorders...plus I'll be 36 in December.

    sorry to hear that

yeah i hear you, I feel so tired now too.  I want this to be over with so I can move on with my life.

What did your doctor say about your chances of healthy pregnancy in the future?  just pray for the best.

Sorry to hear about your bad news!

Since you know what you have to overcome, you and your doctor can decide on a plan. Sometimes it is better to know, even if it is bad news. At least you can try and "fix" it.

    Hang in there!

We met with a genetic specialist today.  He said that until the age of 41, we actually have only a very small increase in miscarriage (from a 99% to 98% chance for a healthy baby).  I am also 36.  He said to not stress about being over 35 at all.  Easier said than done.

(((HUGS)))) I know how it feels to hear your baby had a chromosomal problem and it sucks! I was also told that it was the chromo and not blood disorder because usually the blood disorder shows clotting when the placental overtakes the blood flow around the beginning of the 2nd trimester.
