Are any cold meds safe?

I'm not pg yet, but I'm 9dpo and I'm worried about taking something just in case I get a bfp in the next few days. So, is there anything that's safe for me to take b/c I feel like my sinuses might explode.

TIA

Re: Are any cold meds safe?

  • My dr says that Sudafed Cold and Sinus (1/2 pill every 6 hours) and tylenol are safe.

  • Tylenol Cold and plain robitussin (without the letters)  This website helped me when I was pregnant.  https://www.safefetus.com/   Good luck!

  • Tylenol Cold. *fingers crossed for you*

  • It depends on your bp.  Mine went up a little while I was pregnant w/ DD, so my OB didn't want me taking anything other than regular tylenol.  Try using a saline nose spray - no chemicals and it works wonders.
  • I was told sudafed, tylenol cold, Robutussin DM, and any cough drops.  Mucinex too but not the 12 hour.  I called yesterday because I've come down with the crud and I needed something to stop this cough so I could sleep.  Good Luck and hope you get your BPF!

Really saline solution worked for you? I bought some because im having bad congestion and it didnt do anything for me but make my congestion into wet congestion.

My doctor told me any tylenol products are okay to take but to try to keep away from using a lot because they cause blood vessel constriction that can increase blood pressure. Also they dont recommend you use many drugs during the first 13 weeks! (granted my sister whos a doctor told me that last part)
