Ugh. He is downtown (near me) at a seminar/happy hour and said we could meet here but I can't reach him. I've been sitting at work for an hour and can't reach him by phone or email. I may just walk to the bus and go home.
The iPhone is cool and all, but AT&T's phone service blows chunks and I bet $20 he isn't getting my calls.
I'm boooooooorrrrrrred and want to lllleeeeeeeave!!!!
Re: Stuck at work waiting for DH
I have the same problem with our iphones. We love them, but our house is located in a dead zone, so phone coverage is very spotty. Just ridiculous. When I pay that much for phone service, I expect to be able to receive and make calls in my own home.
Sorry you're stuck at work. Not fun at all. You could always have a lot of fun and get someone to drive you to where he is and march in there as the (pretend) offended pregnant wife and ask why he's enjoying happy hour and not answering your calls. LOL
Oh Meepit I wish! I could actually take the trolly to him, but I'm not exactly sure where he is.
Yea, the iPhone thing blows - I would love one but there is no way I'm tying myself to such a craptacular network. I'm thinking of getting a Droid when they come out in November
Verizon has never failed me...
I swear to god if, when the time comes, I need to get ahold of DH to say "it's time" and his damn phone doesn't work, AT&T is going to get. it. bad.

Oh no! My iphone has the worst service, too -- tons of dropped calls, and lately it's been doing thing where when I call people, it rings for them and they answer it, but all I hear is silence. Considering how much the service costs, it is ridiculous how spotty it is.
Have you tried texting him? For some reason my texts will sometimes get through when phone calls won't...
See, that's the thing. I LOVED Verizon. The only reason I ever switched is that my folks switched because Verizon doesn't have towers up where they are, and AT&T does. Also, admittedly, I wanted the iPhone. But at the time, DH was on Sprint, which sucked, with HIS parents. So I've finally gotten us both onto one bill, thank goodness, and now the service doesn't work. I'm about ready to buy a telegraph.
Seriously though, Epphd! I can see it now....
....it's time stop the baby is coming now stop if you don't get your butt over here to pick me up and take me to the hospital I'm going to do that lower lip thing carol burnett talked about full stop...
