So frustrating: they are canceling more H1N1 clinics

Grrr. CO just can't get enough supply and now I hear on the news that they are canceling more clinics. It's not available anywhere again. I was hoping to stand in line at a clinic next weekend for me and DS, but now that clinic is in jeopardy. I hate this, considering other areas seem to have plenty of supply. Oh, and I also hear they are running low on children's Tamiflu. Great.

Sorry for yet another post. Just had to vent.?

    That stinks that people that want it can't get it...and those that don't, can.  I got a recorded message tonight from my the president of the school district that they are giving the vax to all students and staff that want it.  None of us are getting it.  I hope you can find it soon!

    That's such a shame!!  We have lots here (although there is talk of running out, but we'll see), but the system for clinics suck right now...it's supposed to only be high priority people (pg, immune issues, young children), but they aren't turning anyone back....but I should stop complaining, because at least we have the option.

    I hope you are able to get it!

    We haven't had any available in my area at all.  I'm starting to think the vaccine is a myth, like Bigfoot.

    I was getting a little frustrated too, but then today on our pedi's website they posted that they got a small shipment and would be holding a clinic next weekend.  When I called she said they only had 14 doses left and I called 2 hours after the message went up!  People are frantic because nobody seems to have it around here.  I have no idea when I'll get it for myself.

    Oh, and the regular flu shot, that IS a myth.  Those are long gone and nobody knows if they're getting more.

    Our county clinics are out, but the medical clinics and hospitals are starting to get them in.  I am hoping my OB has them in so i can get mine Tuesday and I am bringing DS in hope he can get his too.

    Man, I thought it was supposed to get *easier* to get it in the next few weeks, not harder! But I share your frustration.

    Our pedi got a shipment and I got an appointment for DD -- but then the blizzard hit, and I was stuck at home for two days b/c DH's car couldn't handle the roads, so he took mine to work. I had to reschedule the appointment for their next clinic, which is supposed to be the 12th.  

    So I'm crossing my fingers that they'll have it then, and that somehow we'll be able to get the second dose as well. And I haven't been able to find it for myself yet, either!

    I took the day off of work today b/c I finally found one clinic that had the vaccine after 3 weeks of calling everywhere I could find. When we went we found out that they got it yesterday and only got 300 doses- they expect it to last less than 1 week. It's crazy!
