She loves the remote but we don't let her play with that. She tries to grab our phones...she knows how to push the button to get the screen to light up, but doesn't know how to swipe the thingy to actually get in it, thank goodness. My DH is guilty of leaving his on the couch or coffee table where she can get it.
She does play with the regular phone and somehow gets to the caller ID list and calls people regularly. At least it's mostly my mom or my SIL.
She carries around her clothes, picks up shoes, the dog leash, the kitchen towel...literally everything LOL

These cheap white spoons I use when cooking in the kitchen (I bought him 6 for Christmas for $2 because he always has mine when I need them). One small boiling pot. A spray water bottle I use to wet his hair (he sprays his mouth and face). The kitchen or bathroom sink (turning water off and on). The dogs. Pretty much all his fav toys are non-toys (except his Dirt Devil toy vacuum - he's obsessed with it).

Remote. My cell phone. One of those handled fuzzy dusters (which makes me cringe, because even brand new she drags it all over the floor and then tickles with it)
She loves purses too. And empty water bottles. And cardboard boxes. Plastic measuring spoons.
The list is endless: a flashlight, the little pumpkin she got at the pumpkin patch, the utensil basket from the dishwasher, my husband's old cell phone, and on and on and on.
DS loves tupperware - bowls & lids have been his obsession for a few months now. Really anything that he can take a lid on and off of works - chapstick tube (obviously under supervision because of tiny lid), pots/pans, but mainly he loves tupperware.
And currently also loves empty milk gallons as well.
Re: Does your LO have a favorite "non toy" toy?
Anything and everything she can get her hands on

Why do we buy toys again?
His toothbrush holder. When he puts one end in his mouth and inhales, it makes a funny whistling noise (not intentional) and he looooves it.
