speaking of fb posts, a guy i know just posted...

"don't believe the hype!  the cdc is inflating their swine flu death stats with pneumonia deaths."

it's taking everything in me not to respond.

    Aren't a significant portion of the deaths from pneumonia as a result of H1N1?  I can see the confusion.  Just playing devils advocate.

    yes. exactly.  that's why he's an idiot.  they're not adding in random pneumonia deaths for funsies.  you get pneumonia after you get the flu.  and they certainly aren't adding fatalities for people who have not tested positive for h1n1.  he's an idiot.  and i had to finally respond.

    he wrote back nonsense "Yeah but you can have h1n1 and not get pneumonia or die so that's an inaccurate statistic to say deaths due to h1n1"

    and then i wrote him a paragraph about the high risk groups, the makers of the vaccine, the trials i had read and the drs i had talked to with a shout out to all the other moms (you guys!) i'd talked to.

    basically i gave him everything i knew and hope that will shut him up.
