H1N1 vaccine passing through milk

Has anyone heard anything on the safety of getting this vaccine while breastfeeding? My health dept said I may have to supplement after getting the vaccine but the pediatrician said it should be fine (the key word being should).

I got the inactivated (shot, not nasal mist) vaccine and kept BFing. On the paper they gave me it said the shot is safe for pregnant and BFing women.

What people said above. I'm most excited about the antibodies I produce (in a few weeks) being passed to LO.

Pregnant women are one of the high risk groups that can get it first. If it's safe for pregnant women, I assume it's probably pretty safe for breastfeeding women!

I agree with PP -- I'm glad DD will be getting the antibodies I produce.

I got the nasal spray about a month before DS got the shot. My doctor said it was fine. Besides it would have been kind of nice if DS had gotten some of the vaccine so that he could have a little immunity too.

I got the "pregnancy dose" of the shot. I'm not sure how it was different from a normal dose, but the doctor said it was safe to breastfeed.
