I just saw your post below about your OOP max and I am shocked!!! How do they expect average income families to have that kind of money laying around?!

On a sidenote, I wanted to let you know that most hospitals will allow you to work out a payment plan (after you have the baby) to pay back for services. For example, our expenses were about $2k OOP (we delivered at Seton NW) and they let us put it on a payment plan over 12 mos. So this could be an option for you. For us, it was a lot easier for us to make a monthly payment over a year than it is to pay the whole lump sum at once.
Good luck!

Stupid Nest went crazy on me. Ignore the post below...it won't let me delete. What I was trying to say was:
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I am really stressing about this whole insur mess. To think I almost got away with my HMO and a total of $0 due at the hospital. Unfortunately inducing Dec. 31st for a March 8th baby isn't exactly an option. Ha. My HMO was awesome...I paid a $20 copay at my first OB appt with DD and then $250 at the hosptial. With this one, I paid a $40 copay and was told that I would owe $0 when I deliver. Then a month ago I found out that would all change. Even though I'm with the same company, I've gone from great insurance to crappy insurance. Totally sucks. I work for a huge international company with 30,000+ employees. But so good to know about the payment plan. I will be delivering at Seton SW.
Thanks again!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
