Any current or former Nashville ladies on here???

Now that we have a nanny I'm thinking DATE NIGHT! Any tips on fun things to see and do in Nashville? Best shopping? Best restaurants? Cool museums or galleries? Outdoor stuff? TIA :)

  • We've only visited, but have you been to Franklin yet?  It is an adorable little town...lots of cute shops, art galleries, etc.  They have a great fall festival (it was probably last weekend, but I would check!) and it is a great place to go with the kiddo or without.

  • We moved to a north-of-Nashville suburb in January, and we love it here.

Personally, we've loved B.B. King's (downtown on 2nd Ave).  Such great food, great music, great atmosphere.

The Big Bang (dueling piano bar), also downtown, is great fun for a date night.

And I can vouch that Frankin is a wonderful, quaint town, and perfect for a Saturday date of brunch and antiquing.

  • For a fun and special date night, we LOVED Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theater. My parents bought us a gift cert. for our anniversary and we can't wait to go back when they have another show we want to see. Many people go there monthly with each new show. They seem to have a great local "following" but there's also a lot of first timers all the time.

There's also a lot that you can see and walk to downtown. We have yet to go to the Country Music Hall of Fame, but we want to. There's also a new symphony hall. The walking bridge over the river is nice. Visit the atriums at Opryland Hotel....they're gorgeous. Also near Opryland is the General Jackson....you can do a river ride and meal.

ETA: How could I forget the Frist Museum and the Botanical Gardens at Cheekwood!! Also good places to go. I have been to the Frist a few times and LOVE it...we just don't really take opportunities to go anymore and haven't been in a long time.
